Dear Classmates,
 
Thanks to all who responded to the survey on the Class of 1971 website. Your answers helped our committee to make the decision to move forward with the venue and gave us some great ideas to make the weekend memorable.
 
Based on the survey results, our committee is pleased to announce we will be holding a WHS ‘71 55th Reunion on the weekend of September 18-19, 2026 at the Boston Marriott Newton on Commonwealth Avenue in Newton. 
 
Details may change, but here's an overview for the 55th Reunion as it now stands:
 
Date: Weekend of September 18-19, 2026
Primary Location: Boston Newton Marriott, 2345 Commonwealth Ave, Newton, MA
 
Reunion Dinner: Saturday, September 19th
Join us for a social hour on the "Riverwalk" outside, followed by dinner and music in the "Pavilion" (photos available below). The estimated cost for this event is $125 to $150.
 
Optional (Sign-up) Activities:
 
Friday, September 18th
Dinner and entertainment at City Winery in Boston or Passim in Harvard Square (estimated cost $100).
 
Saturday, September 19th
Golf, biking, canoeing on the Charles River, or a tour of WHS, Town, and Library (costs TBD).
 
Sunday, September 20th
Brunch at the Riverbend Restaurant (in the Marriott)
 
Hotel rooms will be available at a group rate of $169 + tax per night.
 
This reunion is for all of us, and we truly value your ideas as we finalize the details. If you haven't yet filled out the survey, please do so. Please help spread the word by reaching out to friends about the reunion and our website.
 
Stay tuned for more information and a formal invitation, sometime after the first of the year!
