Letter & Survey Regarding a Proposed 55th Class Reunion
 
Hello, Wellesley High School Class of 1971 Classmate – 
 
Congratulations to us as we approach our 55th WHS Reunion next year!
 
It’s hard to believe 4 years have passed since we gathered for our 50th on Cape Cod. With those memories still fresh, we want to express our sincere appreciation to Wendy Murphy, Jackie Parker, Moira Stansell, Davis Clark, and Sally Chisholm for making that special weekend happen. 
 
The 55th Reunion Committee has started making plans and has reached a point where we need your input. Our goal is to set up an appealing reunion at a nice venue, convenient to Wellesley and Boston, on a fall weekend. To secure a date, we need to make a financial commitment in the next ten days, but before we can do this, we need YOUR feedback ASAP.
 
HERE IS OUR PROPOSED PLAN FOR OUR 55th CLASS REUNION
 
  • Date: Weekend of September 19, 2026
  • Primary Location: Boston Newton Marriott, 2345 Commonwealth Ave, Newton, MA
  • Reunion Dinner: September 19th - Social Hour on the “Riverwalk” outside followed by Dinner & Music in the “Pavillion” (see photos below) - estimated cost from $125 to $150
 
Optional (Sign-up) Activities:
 
  • Friday, September 18th - Dinner and entertainment at City Winery in Boston or Passim in Harvard Square  (estimated cost $100)
  • Saturday, September 19th - Golf, Biking, Canoeing on the Charles River (costs TBD)
  • Sunday, September 20th - Brunch at the Riverbend Restaurant (in the Marriott)
 
Hotel rooms can be reserved at a group rate of $169 + tax per night.
 
ATTENTION: To commit to this plan, we need to hear back from you WITHIN ONE WEEK (No later than June 29). Please take a moment to help us by filling out this short survey below.
